“The Unknown” is a 20-minute performance that distills the fundamentals of hip-hop, rhythm, strength and improvisation into a contemporary form. Conceived as a site-specific work for an art gallery in Tirana, it brings together choreographer Sandrine Lescourant and musician Abraham Diallo in a piece where dance, spoken word, and live music engage directly with visual arts.
For this presentation, Lescourant and Diallo are joined by one of the local amateurs who participated in their ten-day workshop and public performance “Blossom”, anchoring the work in the city and giving it a local tangible presence.
