Armin Hokmi began his artistic journey in 2009 as a performer in Iran’s independent theatre scene. He holds a BA in Acting from the Norwegian Theatre Academy (2015–2018) and an MA in Solo/Dance/Authorship from HZT Berlin (2019–2021).
Today, he works across mediums of live performance, blending dance and theatre into poetic, reflective storytelling. His recent works include Passages (2019), Public Dance, Permutable Stage (2021), International Dance (2022), and Shiraz (2024), each exploring how movement, memory, and history converge in poetic motion.
Armin is an Associate Artist at Montpellier Danse for the period of 2024–2026. His works have appeared at Tanzfabrik Berlin, Mousonturm Frankfurt, FFT Düsseldorf, MDT Stockholm, and other notable venues across Europe.
This October, he will present his choreographic work “Shiraz” to the Albanian public, and lead a free contemporary dance workshop.
