Men at their bath
In 1988, Angelin Preljocaj created a choregraphy based on the painting by Gustave Caillebotte for the film Les Raboteurs (“Planers”) for Paris Musée d’Orsay. In 2025, the prestigious museum commissioned him again for a new work echoing the Caillebotte retrospective called “Painting men”. This time, he chose the painting “Man at his bath”, focusing on skin, nudity, and intimacy. A sensual and powerful creation, carried by a demanding, embodied and profoundly human dance.
Women at their bath
A veritable choreographic diptych, like a gender mirror.
