Anna Chirescu and Clara Freschel take hold of the myth of the Sibyl in a reinterpretation that questions our future on Earth and our hopes for contemporary utopias. Taking as their starting point the Song of the Sibyl, a medieval Provençal chant, they draw from this sonic material to make it resonate within a contemporary body. The performer invites the audience on a journey that is at once musical, choreographic, and performative, giving voice and body to this mythical figure in order to bring forth a Sibyl for today. A woman who delivers modern oracles, capable of expressing the complexity of the world in all its contradictions.
