Born in Seville in 1994, Paula Comitre graduated in Flamenco Dance from the Conservatory of Seville (2012) and earned a degree in Flamenco Dance Pedagogy from the Conservatory of Málaga (2019). She was part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía (2013–2016) and later joined the companies of David Coria and Rafaela Carrasco as a soloist and choreographer.
She debuted her first solo work Cámara Abierta at the Festival de Jerez in 2020, receiving the Revelation Artist Award. She has since created and performed Cuerpo Nombrado, Alegorías (El límite y sus mapas), and Après vous, Madame, presented at major flamenco festivals including the Bienal de Sevilla, Festival de Jerez, and Festival Flamenco de Nîmes. In 2025, she won the Lorca Award for Best Flamenco Dance Performer.
At this year’s edition of the festival, Paula Comitre will present Alegorías and offer a flamenco workshop open to all dance lovers, with limited spots available.
