Beyond the reality of bodies: celestial, animal, mineral, there is another reality, the result of human imagination, sculpted in the material world and validated by cultural processes. This reality, invented and materialised as a fortress to separate and protect the human from the rest of the manifestations of life, has been engendered in the world of ideas, in the same way that artistic expression has been, its imperfect replica, its unfinished double, its uncompleted mirror.
